Intera/externa: Habitat Navigator

The Navigator travels with her home between land and sea using the stars in the night sky to find her way in the dark world inside and out. The dark etchings of an abused, scared patches of earth are documented prints of footsteps left behind and taken from walking around the perimeters of unstable homes. Every black and blue embroidered bead surrounding her is a footstep taken. Every gold bead is a home lost. She is hand painted in watercolor ink, marked by the divided bodies of land within the United States.
